Katie Holmes and Tom CruiseThere's been some juicy chat about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

And the person doing the chatting is Tom himself.

He's nattered to Oprah Winfrey about life, love and that couch jumping moment in 2005 in an exclusive two-part interview which sees Oprah visiting Tom at his home in Telluride, Colorado.

Chatting about the couch incident he told Oprah: "I just felt that way, and I feel that way about her (Katie Holmes).

"I can't even articulate it, to be honest. That feeling, that connection. Just who she is and what she means to me."

The Mission Impossible star also revealed why he and Katie waited for three months to do the Vanity Fair shoot in 2006 where they introduced Suri to the world.

He said: "Kate and I didn't feel any need to (rush) it. We said, 'Why? It's our family.' We just were on Suri time."

Speaking of which, he gushed about Suri saying: "She's spectacular. She really is just magic."

On Katie's family he said: "They're amazing. I love them. You see why Kate is such an amazing woman - incredible integrity and strength. They're family."

The actor also told Oprah: "Listen I, I feel like definitely things have been misunderstood, and there are things I could have done better."

He also went on to say: "A lot of times I was nervous giving interviews. Or I wasn't sometimes as comfortable about things. And I realised that it's okay."
