Nick Lachey and Vanessa MinnilloReckon famous types get spoilt rotten come Christmas time?

Not always - just ask Vanessa Minnillo.

Because last year, she and boyfriend Nick Lachey simply, well, forgot to buy each other gifts.

In an interview with American OK! magazine, they've chatted Christmas, and other happy things.

Vanessa told them: "I feel like I'm getting to know a whole other side of Nick. It's a new step in our relationship. I can't even think things anymore because he knows what I'm thinking."

Her beau, Nick, also gushed: "Like any relationship, it changes, for better and worse. You grow together. You become more mature as a couple."

So, any ding-dong, aka marriage talk of late?

Nick reckons: "It's funny, this time last year we were supposedly engaged."

And Van told the mag: "We appreciate the days. I'm not going to put a time on things. We're happy today, no pressure for tomorrow."

When asked what they'd like for Christmas, Nick said: "It's practical. Last year, we didn't get each other any presents."

Van said: "We were travelling so much last Christmas it was crazy. We just kind of forgot. Then, on Christmas morning, depression set in. I had tears down my face, Nick didn't talk for an hour."
