We toddled off to the Q Awards launch bash to get the skinny on who were getting the nods.
And bumped into Kate Nash.
Not only did this lovely lady stop to have a natter, she also got up and took to the stage for us and the other music fans.
But it ain't any surprise she was in fine fettle as she recieved a nod for best breakthrough artist.
Although that's not to say she wasn't a wee bit bowled over.
She said: "It's all a bit alien to me this stuff so I'm a bit distracted at what's going on.
"But it's really cool and really exciting.
"And it's just an honour to be here and to be nominated."
Nothing like a slice of humble pie from a famous lass. We like.
Click into our gallery to see Kate and a bunch of other musos doing their thing at the launch do.
