Given half the chance, they make a bid for freedom and bask in their exposed glory.
You'd think that just being on Paris Hilton's body would be enough fame for her nipples - but no.
During a photoshoot for her new music video, one of them decided they'd had enough of being covered up and so sneaked out to see what all the fuss was about.
And despite the low-cut swimming costume, it wasn't an easy route out...
Paris and her stylists had attached plenty of sticky tape to ensure there was no mishaps but this was one determined nip.
So, out it popped.
