Such was the dilemma for poor Clive Owen.
But being the worthy actor that he is, rugged Clive agreed to the bag on the head routine for his new movie, The Children Of Men.
Groping his way around a London street, Clive was soon allowed to relieve himself of the headgear.
What emerged was a slightly lived-in looking Mr Owen...
His hair was a tad ruffled and the man looked like he needs a good night of kip.
Of course, we presume it's all make-up and, in real life, the Closer star is as fresh as a daisy.
The Children Of Men also stars Michael Caine and is set for release in November 2006.
