It seems nowadays it's no longer sufficient to just announce nominations, you need to have a party as well.
So, when the Brit Award noms were revealed, a few music people got together to celebrate.
Yes, we agree, it is a little strange.
But life is just one big party for these celebs.
And to help get the party started was Jarvis Cocker, Lemar, Fearne Cotton and James Morrison.
Jarvis famously jumped on stage during Michael Jackson's performance in 1996 and pretended to moon.
Let's all hope and pray he manages to control himself at this year's live show.
Anyway, we diverge, back to reality. Also on hand to help announce the nominations was comedian Russell Brand, who will host this year's awards from London's Earl's Court on Valentine's Day.
