So, could they be about to tie the knot at long last?

Yes, we're talking about long-time lovers Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis.

Despite being together for eight years, and having two kiddies, Lily-Rose, seven, and Jack, four, the pair have made no movements towards becoming Mr and Mrs D.

In fact, Johnny has been adamant that their partnership is as good as being married.

However, a source in the US has told The Daily Express that Johnny and Vanessa, who have a £1.5m mansion in the South of France, are readying themselves to tie the knot.

They said: "Johnny and Vanessa are planning to get married next summer at their villa. It will be a private event rather than a showbiz extravaganza."

Johnny DeppThe thing is, Johnny has been married before, to eighties musician Lori Anne Allison and was apparently put off walking down the aisle again.

He has also dated actresses Sherilyn Fenn, Winona Ryder and Kate Moss.

A friend told the Express: "He went off the idea of marriage because of his relationship history. But he'll do it if Vanessa and his kids want him to.

"Johnny and Vanessa are happier and more in love than most married couples."
