One peep had that infamous phrase ringing in his ears on The Apprentice yesterday.
He took it like a man.
But who, in fact, was the chap?
Kevin Shaw was the unfortunate fella in question.
Twenty-four-year-old Kev landed himself in a hot spot after his team, which he was leading, lost out on a gift card challenge having opted for an ill-fated environmental theme.
Claire Young and Sara Dhada accompanied Kevin to the final boardroom showdown, but Sir Alan said he held Kevin ultimately responsible for the team's failure and, well, fired him.
Kevin said he was disappointed at the decision, but later admitted that he deserved it, saying:
"I was the right one to go. If you're running a company, when the business goes under so does the manager.
"My team lost so surely I must take responsibility for the task."
So it's one man down, but who'll be next to go?
We'll wait with baited breath.
