David Carradine's death might not have been suicide, a forensics expert has said.
The Kill Bill star was found hanging from a rail in a Bangkok hotel room last week.
According to an examiner who has overseen a private autopsy on the star David died from asphyxiation.
Forensic pathologist Dr Michael Baden also told Reuters the way the actor's body was bound allowed him to rule out suicide.
However, he went on to say the full results will only be ready in a week.
He told Reuters: "The cause of death was asphyxiation, an inability to breathe, now why that happened is still what we're working on."
So far David's family have not commented on the above results of the second autopsy.
Results from an initial post-mortem carried out on David's body indicated he died from a lack of oxygen and showed no signs of a struggle.
But his family strongly contested the suggestion he was suicidal and demanded another post-mortem.
David's brother Keith termed his death "devastating", adding: "We greatly appreciate the compassion pouring in from all over the world."
