Aisleyne Horgan-WallaceAisleyne Horgan-WallaceMost people know Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace as a ditzy blonde.

But there's a lot more to the 30-year-old Big Brother star than meets the eye.

In an exclusive three-part interview, Aisleyne opens up to Sky Showbiz about her roller-coaster life, details of which are contained in her new book, Aisleyne: Surviving Guns, Gangs and Glamour.

Having left home at 16, Ais spent much of her younger life in hostels and trying to avoid the drugs and violence of the world she found herself in.

Her big break came with Big Brother in 2006 - but even after the show, with all the advantages of a fame-filled fabulous life, she found her traumatic past difficult to leave behind.

In a shockingly frank account, Aisleyne bravely tells us about the time in late 2007 when she took an overdose, because a string of rejections led her to  "want to go to sleep and not wake up".

Luckily, she sought help just in time, and is now sharing her experience, because, as she tells us: "I did it to show people it doesn't matter how wonderful your life can be, you can still get to that low point where you feel like there's nothing to live for."

See our exclusive footage of Aisleyne talking about her overdose trauma in the video, below.

And, to end on a more cheerful note...

Watch out for our next two interviews with Aisleyne where she chats about life as a glamour girl, what it's like being Amy Winehouse's mate, plus her experiences with the fellas - coming soon.
