Alexandra Burke's mum is being investigated for benefit fraud.
Former soul singer Melissa Bell said: "I am absolutely outraged."
The 44-year-old diabetes sufferer is suspected of being paid for gigs she's performed with Alex, while still claiming benefits.
The Daily Mirror discovered Islington Council is investigating claims the mum of four is doubling-up on her income, and Melissa said she has confirmed with the council that she is under suspicion of benefit fraud.
Melissa, who collapsed with kidney failure last July, receives £17,344 a year in disability and income support.
She said: "The council can come and search me right now.
"Officials have looked online at all the places I have appeared and have contacted them all. But any money I have received I've given to the Kidney Patient Association.
"I am very mindful of the rules."
