It's only a reality TV show...
But things have taken an alarming turn for one of this year's Apprentice wannabes.
The programme's token totty Alex Wotherspoon has revealed he's received a string of vicious "fan" mail since first appearing on the show in March.
Alex, who will fight it out to be Sir Alan's minion in tomorrow's Apprentice final, told The Sun:
"There are obviously some warped people out there. I've been getting some seriously abusive messages.
"One guy even sent me an email saying, 'I wish you'd die', which was a bit strong."
A BBC spokesman for the hit series said: "Obviously we take the safety of the contestants very seriously, so we are looking into this."
An insider added: "Unfortunately it goes with the territory on The Apprentice. Most viewers understand it's just TV - but occasionally some idiots don't get it."
Tomorrow's final sees Alex up against fellow business hopefuls Claire Young, Lee McQueen and Helene Speight.
