The reason for such speculation?
Well, just look at this picture of them together at the Goodwood Festival Of Speed.
They're barely touching, let alone kissing and a-hugging.
Plus, their smiles (particularly Nic's) seem more stretched than Lindsay Lohan's overworn leggings.
Maybe Lew and Nic are a touch camera-shy - but most new celeb couples we know all but heavy-petting in front of the paps.
