It was drama central on The X Factor this weekend.
The nation were glued to their TV screens as the sensational singing action unravelled.
Poor old Bad Lashes may never recover from the trauma, as they became the first act to exit the comp.
The four girls from the North East - Stacey Lincoln, Sophie Wilson, Emily McNamee, and Sam Bennett - were axed after appearing in the bottom two acts, alongside fellow girl group, Girlband.
The judges passed a tied vote for the two groups after they performed for survival - though Simon Cowell described both acts as "shocking".
With the voting in deadlock, host Dermot O'Leary referred to the original public polls - and as Bad Lashes garnered the least votes, they were the ones to finally leave.
After announcing the result, Dermot struggled to raise his voice over the sound of the poor lasses sobbing into their microphones.
The band later appeared to blame their mentor Louis Walsh for their early exit, as he isn't clued up about managing girl groups.
Sam commented: "He loves boy groups, that's his thing. Boy groups are totally his thing. So he really knows what to do with JLS, it's easy to choose songs for them and stuff. Whereas girl bands - he said listen to Cheryl (Cole)."
See what the girls had to say in an interview with Sky TV.
Meanwhile, the winner of the first ever X Factor show, Steve Brookstein, has lashed out at the talent show, slamming it as a human form of "bear-baiting".
"It is sad people are going to be publicly humiliated," he commented this weekend.
