And the powers that be have well and truly got their gloves off.

That's right, Big Brother is upping the spiteful stakes this week, by making contestants nominate in front of each other.

In a special live show hosted by Davina McCall tonight, housemates will be forced to embark on a "nomination face-off", where they reveal their true feelings about one another in front of us, the viewing audience at home.

We can only imagine the fireworks that might kick off from this particular scheme: the odds on Rex having a rage and Kathreya bursting into tears are defo on, while all bets for a happy ending to Big Bro are pretty much off as soon as it goes down.

However, there is a silver lining to the malicious plot twist - the two peeps who are eventually voted for eviction will then compete in a game of Jeopardy, with the winner bagging a £50,000 prize.

For that price, it's almost worth the shame and humiliation of being voted for on live TV - with all the sticky reasoning and bitchiness that goes with it.
