Blake Fielder-Civil says Amy Winehouse almost died in his arms two years ago.
He reportedly made the sensational claims about his ex-wife in an interview with The Sun.
Blake, whose divorce from Amy was finalised earlier this month, alleges that Amy started having a fit after drinking and taking drugs with him for three days in a row in August 2007 - just three months after they married.
"We were sitting on the bed talking, her eyes suddenly went blank," he said.
"She started having a fit on the bed. She slid down on the floor before I could stop her. I was panicking, I didn't know how to help her. I was out of it on drugs as well - and was sobbing and crying out, 'Amy.'"
Blake says he managed to get Amy into the recovery position and "breathe air down her throat.
"At first nothing happened," he said. "Then she spluttered - and I saw her chest rise. I was still sobbing and panicking but I just felt this huge relief she was alive."
Blake said Amy received treatment at University College Hospital in London immediately after this incident.
Sky Showbiz have approached Amy's people for comment on this story, and are awaiting feedback.
