He was sent back to the slammer after failing a drug test.

And, it seems that this time his stint will be a lot longer.

The Sun have reported that Blake could now be in jail until early 2010, after breaching his early release conditions.

According to reports, Blake escaped from rehab to rush to the hospital bedside of his wife, Amy Winehouse.

The troubled singer is recovering after a supposed reaction to medication last week.

"Blake did a runner," a source told the Sun. "He turned up in hospital and all hell broke loose - everyone was totally shocked."

It seems that Blake was looking for forgiveness from Amy for his reckless behaviour.

"He was asking Amy to forgive him - as he was going back inside anyway and he felt he didn't have much to lose."

After the hospital drama, Blake apparently handed himself over to the police.

"If he had stayed in prison last month rather than taking the rehab option he was set to be released at the end of this month. He's blown it," said the source.

There are no details as to how Blake failed his routine drug test, and with what kind of substance.
