Money can't buy you a red-hot foxtrot.
But it might help in purchasing some plain good will.
Something Brendan Cole's not feeling at the mo when it comes to Strictly Come Dancing...
The ballroom Lothario has spoken out to complain out his salary for the BBC prime-time show.
Like all pro Strictly dancers, Brendan says he receives £30,000 for his light-footed grooves and training of celeb partner Lisa Snow don on the three-month programme - as compared to the judges' £90,000 wage and the presenters' earnings of around £450,000.
And now he's feeling the crunch on the fee difference - regardless of his studio sashays.
"My money from Strictly just about pays the bills," Brendan moaned to Star magazine. "I don't have a car. I would like to get one, but until then, I'm on the Tube."
"I don't even own my house that I live in. I can't afford it. I rent where I live," he added.
Poor Brendan. The price of art, eh?
