And it just so happens that we've picked up an interesting scent from Cameron Diaz and a fellow A-lister.

So of course, we're hot on the case like a pack of celeb love-hounds.

The story so far goes a little something like this...

Cam has apparently been spending some lovey-dovey time with none other than P Diddy.

The pair were spotted together at a book launch party for Prince on Friday night.

And the word is that they looked very cosy together, laughing and holding hands. At one point she even spoon-fed him some bread pudding. They eat bread pudding in LA?

After the party, they headed over to Prince's Beverly Hills mansion where, according to a source for the New York Daily News: "Diddy was bringing his lips towards hers when he realised someone was P Diddyapproaching.

"Smiling, they closed the theatre's door and locked it."

Are they having us on? This sounds to us like the stuff cheese-laden romcoms are made of.

You might expect it of Cam but we thought P Diddy had more street cred than to be giggling and hiding behind closed doors?

We heard from another little birdie that the twosome have been going on secret dates since March - but as juicy as this slab of goss is, we're going to hang back until it's a bit more well cooked.
