Chanelle Hayes' singing career hasn't exactly soared so far.
In fact, saying it's nosedived might be nearer to the mark.
But the 20-year-old Poshalike is putting a brave face on the episode.
Chatting to Sky Showbiz at the London premiere of The X Files: I Want To Believe, Chanelle admitted she's putting her music ambitions "on the backburner" for now.
Talking about the release of her debut single, I Want It, a cheery and sleek-looking Chan told Sky Showbiz:
"The song went to 53 in the charts and I did have high hopes for it.
"But the TV show (Chanelle: Wannabe Popstar, charting her attempts to break the music industry) got the highest ratings on VH1 this year, so I'm pleased all round."
Chan also insisted it was "really good fun" making the single, and that performing it live was "scary, but good scary".
The BB star confirmed rumours that she's in talks to make a third reality TV show, and also revealed that she's been busy revving up for a calendar promotion "because my new calender is coming out in - what year is it this year?" (Bystanders confirm it's 2008.) "Oh, yeah, so it's coming out for 2009."
Of course, we couldn't let the chinwag pass without some mention of this year's Big Brother, but Chan remained tight-lipped on the topic, saying she was contracted by a magazine not to talk about it.
However she couldn't help but remark: "There's some hotties in this year isn't there?" - singling out Dale as being particularly cute.
Join the queue, Chan. Samanda have their own ideas...
