Cheryl Cole is dead set on starting a family.

In extracts released from the new Girls Aloud book, Dreams That Glitter, it's as clear as daylight that Cheryl wants kids.

And now that her relationship with hubby Ashley Cole is back on track, there's really nothing to stand in her way.

"Family is becoming a priority," Cheryl wrote in a preview snippet of the manuscript, published by OK! magazine.

"I started to think more about having children when I met Ashley. These days there's no reason why you can't have a family and career.Ashley and Cheryl Cole Ashley and Cheryl "

"I'm from a big family and I want a big family," she continued. "That means I have to make a start soon - so watch this space."

Jeepers. We couldn't have landed a more blatant mummy watch alert if we'd tried.

In a sad twist, Cheryl also reveals how she most wanted kids in December 2007, just before allegations of Ashley's affair surfaced.

"I was really broody," she confessed, reflecting back at that period.

"I would try and plan and think maybe I could still do a couple of gigs if I had a seven-month bump."
