Ashley and Cheryl Cole Christmas - the time for cheer and goodwill.

Time to put the past behind you and look to the future, isn't that right Cheryl Cole?

Well, if we were Santa, we'd sure be generous to our Chezza.

But all Cheryl wants is a sack of happiness for Crimbo.

It's fair to say Cheryl's had a tough old time at the beginning of 2008 - itt was back in January that hairdresser, Aimee Walton, claimed she'd slept with Ashley Cole.

After a brief stint apart, Cheryl and Ashley seem to have worked through their woes and now all Cheryl wants is to end the year on a high.

She told Closer magazine: "I like the idea of doing something old-fashioned for Christmas and making it very romantic.

"I'm a real Christmas person. It's such a family time and I love getting festive. I'd like to fill stockings with romantic and thoughtful presents for Ashley."

But she hasn't got the itinerary completely sorted yet, she doesn't know whether she'll spend it at her and Ash's home in Surrey, or back up at her hometown of Newcastle.

"I don't know if I'll be at mine or if I'll go up north as yet. The thing is, I have so many nieces and nephews to look after - so I might have to go up there.

"I've not started shopping yet and I have quite a bit of stuff to get, as you can imagine."

She added: "After the year I've had, being so busy, it's an important time and I want to get it right in every way."
