Cindy Crawford is a household name thanks to her enviable shape.
But the 43-year-old former supermodel believes she's too voluptuous for today's catwalks.
The mum-of-two told German magazine Bunte: "I would not have become a supermodel in 2009. I look too healthy."
She added that "a body like mine with big breasts, normal thighs and toned upper arms", is no longer sought after in the current fashion industry.
Cindy was one of the most asked-for names in the business in her heyday of the mid-1990s (above left).
But if we compare her womanly figure to that of modern-day runway hit Erin O'Connor (above right), it's possible to see the transition of demand from curvy to elfin-like figures.
Still, modelling or not, Cindy insists that she's not intimidated by the process of ageing.
"That's why I like being in my 40s so much," she explained. "Being at peace with yourself, knowing about your strengths beyond being pretty."
