Coleen Rooney has chosen the unusual name Kai for her and Wayne's baby son.
Wayne's grandma Pat Morrey revealed the name was all down to Coleen, but did not know why the moniker was chosen, according to The Sun.
The name Kai has been at the centre of much speculation since Coleen gave birth to the 8lbs 2oz tot at 2.20pm yesterday.
Kai was the 68th most popular name for baby boys in the UK last year and has several different meanings around the world.

In Burma it means unbreakable, in Nigeria it can mean love, in Japan it translates to "the ocean" and in Chinese Mandarin it means victory.
In ancient Persian it translates as "Great King", in Celtic "keeper of the keys", while in parts of the Pacific it can mean “food”. It is also the name of a character in Mortal Kombat, the computer game.
EastEnder Danielle Westbrook's son is also called Kai - though we're not sure Coleen will be keen to hear another celeb beat her to it.
Coleen, 24, who was nine days overdue, was understood to have been induced by doctors at the Liverpool Women’s Hospital and could return home tonight.
Wayne, who had missed United’s training session earlier in the day, was said to have been at his wife’s bedside throughout the natural delivery at the specialist NHS hospital. He may also miss Manchester United’s Champions League tie at home to CSKA Moscow this evening.
The couple are thought to have rejected numerous big-money offers to sell the first photographs of the baby. Their spokesman said: "Mother and baby are both absolutely fine. Wayne and Coleen are thrilled with the wonderful addition to their family life."
Bookmakers were already offering odds yesterday on little Kai achieving sporting success.
Coral was offering 66-1 odds on Kai playing football for England, while William Hill was quoting 100-1 for him to play Premier League football and 125-1 to represent United.
