The 45-year-old actress says she was gutted when she saw inaccurate reports that she was going through the menopause.

The star, who is mum to five-year-old Coco, told OK! magazine: "There was a photo of me coming out of my doctor's office and it said that I'm going through the menopause and that I'm really upset because I can't have another child.

"That could be such an easy thing to say - it's a lie.

"But it's not worth it," she continued.

"I read lies like that all the time."

On a more positive note, Courteney admitted she drew lots of comfort from being married to her younger partner, David Arquette.

"Getting older is harder anyway, but living in Hollywood is exceptionally hard," she said.

"It would be really scary if I wasn't married and I had to go back out there again.  And it is true that most men date women that are younger."

Well, we think Courteney looks fab for her age.
