From the moment he locked eyes with the sexy senorita at the X Factor auditions, we clung to our seats in anticipation.

And now it seems the pair might be embarking on a project that will bring them a whole lot closer together...

Speaking after her eviction on Saturday night, Ruth revealed that Cowell's constant flirting gave her the confidence she lacked.
 
"It's made me so confident. He is such a flirt – and he loves it," she said.

"I'm a curvy Spanish girl, and I've always felt overweight or not pretty enough.

"So to have this man who is so powerful and hangs around with beautiful women all the time, who says 'I fancy you', you think 'OK, I might not be that bad then'.

Throughout her appearances on The X Factor, Ruth left Simon Simon Cowellspeechless - and not just because of her performances.
 
When Louis teased him by saying: "You fancy her", all he could do was give a sheepish nod. Another time admitting, "Yes I do" with a huge smile on his face.
 
He also once told Ruth: "You have a very powerful presence - you are a real woman. You have... charisma."

Simon also called her boobs "two of the most talented things on the show" and if that's not enough to leave us reeling, according to the gossip grapevine, Simon met up with the Spanish singer yesterday to discuss a possible record deal.
