Dwight Yorke has announced he wants more access to the son he had with Jordan.
The former footballer says he hasn't seen seven-year-old Harvey in over a year.
Now Dwight says he wants to play a part in Harvey's life and will try harder to keep in touch now Jordan and Peter Andre have divorced.
He told BBC Radio 5's Simon Mayo programme: "I would like to play an integral part in his upbringing, of course, I love my kid but wasn't given the opportunity to really bring him up in the manner I would like to bring him up in.
"I haven't spoken to, I have haven't seen him in a year."
And he says people have the wrong idea about how much he cares for Harvey.
He explained: "For seven years I've had to bear all of this and I think enough is enough.
"We tried to sit around a table on numerous occasions and for some reason that never materialises at all.
"I'm going to try and make inroads again now that relationship (Jordan and Peter) is over."
