Hot on the heels of rumours that Freida Pinto is secretly married...

There's word that she's dating her Slumdog Millionaire co-star, Dev Patel.

The rumour mill's sure going to town on this one - it's like the Slumdog hotwire that never sleeps.

However, the latest chattering is not just idle gossip; it comes straight from Freida and Dev's Slumdog co-star, Anil Kapoor.

Anil spilled the dating beans when being interviewed by radio host Ryan Seacrest, who asked him: "Dev and Freida... is there any action behind there?" to which Anil replied:

"As a matter of fact, when I meet them I feel there is something happening.

"I think this is the beginning of something exciting. They definitely make a great pair and look very good together."

Oh-er. So what do Freida's people have to say about this?

Well, they're keeping schtum - so far. Just two ticks ago they were facing rumours that the Slumdog star, 24, was secretly wed to childhood sweetheart Rohan Antao, so they're probably struggling to keep up.

When recently quizzed about his stunning co-star, 18-year-old Dev replied: "We are mates".
