Girlband have split up. Shock, horror.

How could they do such a thing? Especially just a week after making a promise to be bigger than Girls Aloud.

Apparently it was their diva antics that proved to be their downfall.

The word is that the group, who were binned from the singing show in week two, have been at each others' throats and when they appeared on Saturday's show to sing the X Factor charity song, the chicks barely said two words to each other.

A source told The Sun: "They’re all blaming each other and their bickering has blown into full-scale rants."

But for those die-hard Girlband fans, fear not - they ain't going down without a fight.

The chicks are all said to be planning on solo careers. Thank goodness.

The source added: "X Factor has given them a taste of fame and none of them wants to give up on the dream."
