A host of stars have made us as proud as punch with their wins over the pond.

Leading the pack is Kate Winslet and Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire, starring former Skins star Dev Patel, which scooped a whopping three gongs.

British actress Sally Hawkins has been given a nod for her role in Happy-Go-Lucky win and Irish hottie Colin Farrell is also firmly on the map with a win.

 It was a touching moment too as the late Heath Ledger was honoured and won the best supporting actor award.

Yes, we think there are a lot of happy folk milling about Hollywood.
