Gordon RamsayGordon RamsayGordon Ramsay's personal life has hit headlines all this week.

And apparently he thinks the best way to deal with it is to crack a few jokes.

Gordon's in the centre of a media storm at the mo, after allegations that he cheated on his wife Tana appeared in a Sunday tabloid.

But surprisingly, the hot-headed chef has not reacted angrily to the press scrutiny - instead he's been busy throwing quips about the situ.

Appearing at the BBC Good Food Show in Birmingham yesterday, Gordon couldn't resist making a few gags about the marital "scandal" he's found himself embroiled in.

Bounding onto the stage, he told the audience: "What a week. What a week I've had. My mum's in here tonight so I'm on my best behaviour, oh la la. Oh f*** it. I didn't do it, Mum."

Referring to photos of a mattress being delivered to his home, Gordon went on:Tana RamsayGordon's wife Tana after the cheating allegations surfaced

"I have had a mattress arriving this week, everyone thought it was because I had to sleep in the basement.

"Mattress, mattress, mattress, what a load of b*******."

He also joked about cookery queen Delia Smith and her How To Cheat recipe book, saying:

"She gave me a book on how to cheat. All I wanted to do was show her my recipes for spotted dick."

Well, we're glad to see Gord's so chirpy in the face of adversity.
