Graeme Le Saux and Kristina LenkoGraeme Le Saux and Kristina LenkoGraeme Le Saux became the first victim of Dancing On Ice last night.

The former footballer was booted from the comp having barely got his teeth into it.

His elimination came after he skated for survival against investigative reporter Donal MacIntyre in the bottom two acts of the show.

The 40-year-old ex-England player had previously admitted his fears over being able to skate with a swing, saying:

"To learn when you're a bit older is really hard."

After learning of his demise last night, following 20-hours-a-week of gruelling training in the run-up to the live programme, Graeme said:

"I thoroughly enjoyed it, I mean it's short but sweet. I'm going to miss all the guys - the skaters, the other celebs because we built up a really good little team spirit."

He added that he would also miss his "beautiful" skating partner Kristina Lenko.

Only the seven male celebrities competed in the show last night - but next week we'll see the six female celeb skaters take to the ice for the first time. Bring it on.
