Which comes as a bit of a surprise really, since they never confirmed it was actually "on" in the first place.

Heroes actress Hayden has reportedly dumped TV presenter Steve because she can't hack the long-distance lovin'.

She apparently told the Mirror: "I'm single and mingling. Steve lives in London, the distance is a bit too much."

In case we haven't got the message, she continued: "I'm not dating anyone specifically and I'm not looking for a house with anyone."

And to make her position perfectly clear, she describes their time in Cannes together as a bit of "fun".

Got that, Steve?

The split comes hot on the heels of Hayden's decision to speak out about her dad's arrest for domestic violence.

She told Seventeen magazine: "It put my dad in this light that is so not him. You know your mind goes to: 'He abuses, he beats his wife.'

"For my dad to have that reputation now - which is so not who he is - kills me."
