Hayden PanettiereHayden Panettiere is giving something else a whirl.

But don't worry - you'll still see her on your small screen.

It's just that you may also hear her on the wireless.

She's releasing her first album.

We haven't had the privilege yet... but Hayden has been chatting about the record on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.

She said of her tunes: "They're a little bit eclectic."

Hmmm... we're trying not to read between the lines with that comment. 

Hayden described the experience of hearing her music on the radio as "scary" and "terrifying".

But it seems she's but her back into the ordeal - in fact, the project has been four years in the making.

She added: "(The music) changed so much over the years.

"Just because my life experiences and who I am as a person is obviously reflected in the music."

And what high hopes does she have for her musical career? Her wish for the album is simply "(to make) sure that music didn't all sound the same".
