Heather Locklear has started off the new year with a guilty plea to driving under the influence.
The Melrose Place star has been fined £620 and sentenced to three year's informal probation.
Heather, 47, will also need to go back to school for a 12-hour road and safety class.
The charges relate to an incident that occurred in September 2008, after LA police discovered the actresses' car blocking a traffic lane in Montecito.
Heather was reported to be showing signs of "obvious impairment."
She was later released from custody after tests showed the actress had prescription drugs in her system, but was clean of other drugs or alcohol.
Heather, who did not appear in court for the case on Friday, pleaded guilty via her lawyer.
Let's hope Heather has a much better time in '09.
