But Lady Gaga may have had her fill of the fame game - for now at least.

Word on the hotwire has it that the latex-panted one has become exhausted by her stint in the limelight.

A source close to Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, told The Sun:

"Stefani has been working relentlessly since last summer.

"She has criss-crossed the globe on numerous occasions, promoting her album The Fame, and the pressure has started to get to her.

"At a recent show in Atlanta she nearly collapsed on stage the day after a particularly wild night out."

The insider added that Lady Gaga's management don't want her "going off the rails", and cleared the star of all her commitments for a month, this August, in order to "give her time to get her head straight".

Aww. That's nice, isn't it?

Our heart bleeds at the thought of poor ol' Gaga overdoing things on the celeb party circuit - not to mention the tireless stints of self-promotion that constitute as work for the star.

Here's hoping she makes the most of her time off...
