Janet Jackson There's been a heap of baby rumours surrounding Janet Jackson recently.

Folks far and wide have been studying the 42-year-old's stomach for signs of a bump.

And now her man Jermaine Dupri has spoken out about the chit-chat.

He's said the rumours that Janet is up the duff, first ignited after she cancelled a series of tour dates due to an unknown illness a few months back, are categorically not true.

Refuting the bubba gossip in a chat with Us magazine, Jermaine made light of the situ.

In a reference to showbiz man-in-the-know Perez Hilton, one of the peeps to speculate about Janet's condition, he said:Janet and Jermaine Dupri

"Does Perez know that lying destroys the credibility of a blogger?"

Perez himself hit back, saying:

"I didn't say that Janet was pregnant, but if or when she is, I am sure she will make a great mother."

Janet has broached her enthusiasm for motherhood in the past, commenting: "I'd love to have children. It's just up to Jermaine, what he wants to do."

So is it just a matter of time? We guess we'll have to kick back our gossip-hungry heels and wait.
