John Mayer Jennifer Aniston better watch out (in a good sense)...

John Mayer has been chatting all things engagement.

Is he thinking of popping the question to his on-off love?

Two ticks after Jen was spurting all kinds of nice things about her man to US Vogue, he has come out with some tres intriguing yak.

When reporters questioned him about the whole issue of proposals on the red carpet of the Keep A Child Alive charity bash in New York, John replied:

"I think I'd be pretty good at that. I'd figure that out. I'd get creative."Jennifer Aniston and John

Crumbs. What does that mean, we wonder? Balancing the ring on his bare torso with a rose between his butt cheeks?

Or the more romantic option of climbing up some remote mountain with his love (aka Jen) and popping the question against the backdrop a burningly bright sunset?

We guess we - and Ms Aniston - will have to wait and see.

But let's not get too excited right yet.

Jen's been at pains to emphasise that her fling with John is purely casual... so far.
