Jodie KiddJodie KiddJodie Kidd's rise to fame has been a bumpy one.

The model has had her fair share of controversy in her career.

But Jods thinks she's finally ready to be a role model again.

Jodie told Red magazine she quit modelling at the age of 21, after suffering panic attacks from the pressures of her whirlwind career.Jodie KiddJodie Kidd back 1995

"I got to 21 and I wanted to stop for my own sanity," she said. "It's so easy to get swept up in the whole first-class Ritz lifestyle."

The model said negative criticism about her size also weighed down on her heavily and came to a head when she saw a chat show discussing whether she was a bad influence on teenage girls.

"When the press first said I was too skinny, I was in New York, Paris and Japan. I was going flat out and I actually didn't see what was going on back home."

After giving up the catwalk Jodie began playing polo, and after two years represented England in the Women's World Championships.

She even landed a contract with Marks & Spencer showing off a much more healthy-looking bod.

But in 2007 the model lost it all when the News Of The World revealed that she allegedly offered to buy cocaine for undercover reporters.

Since the scandal, Jodie has bounced back - topped off with her recent stint on Strictly Come Dancing.

And she reveals that she's hell bent on staying righteous:

"Every single day is a learning curve. There's quite a lot of fight in me."
