Katie Holmes and Tom CruiseKatie Holmes has had to deal with the worst kind of first-night angst.

Protesters took up camp outside the Broadway theatre where she was performing in All My Sons.

But what has she done to upset them?

Well it doesn't seem to be her that they have the problem with.

The demonstrators were from the anti-Scientology group Anonymous.

The word is that around 20 protesters were there to make themselves heard as the audience turned up to see Katie's debut.

Not surprisingly Katie's hubby Tom Cruise was one of those going in to see the play.

According to Us mag the group shouted: "We are not boycotting Katie, we are not boycotting the play, we are protesting Scientology.

"It is evil. Scientology kills people. It follows you home at night. It is perverted."

Anyhoo... like they say, it's on with the show.
