That's if you're listening to the horse's mouth...

Just days after pictures surfaced of Katy canoodling with Paris' ex, Benji Madden, in a club on Valentine's Day, the I Kissed A Girl starlet has denied that she's seeing him.

Writing on her blog, Katy, 24, tried to put dating rumours to rest, commenting:

"It's two pseudo famous people sitting next to each other... it doesn't mean we were bumping uglies. You know, I don't just do that with anyone." Katy and Benji Madden on Valentine's Day

Take a chill pill, Katy - we hear ya.

"I was there celebrating a really fun show and a boozy Valentine's with all my good friends. We were, like, a group of 25," she continued, adding: "Benji is a nice, young fellow".

A nice young fellow? We're sure he'll be blushing into his boots at such a lavish compliment.

But, on the back of this, we don't think they'll be any k-i-s-s-i-n-g up a tree for Katy and Benji - for now at least.

So Paris, you can relax. Phew.
