Kelly Osbourne Kelly Osbourne Kelly Osbourne has opened up about her painkiller addiction.

The 24-year-old admitted she has been addicted since the age of 13.

Thankfully, she's now finally clean.

Kel told People magazine how her dependence came about: "I had my tonsils taken out (aged 13), and they gave me liquid Vicodin.

"I found, when I take this, people like me. I'm having fun, I'm not getting picked on. It became a confidence thing."

After unsuccessful stints in rehab in 2004 and 2005, her trip to an LA medical facility in January came after an intense relapse.

The star said she was using downers to sleep through the days.

She said: "I knew if I didn't get help, I would die.

"I'm getting a second chance (at my career) and I want to be present for it."
