Lady Gaga has responded to claims she is a hermaphrodite.
The controversial singer said her "vagina is offended".
It's the first time she has commented on the rumours, that began when she appeared at Glastonbury with what appeared to be a small bulge in her underwear.
In a telephone interview with an Australian radio station, Lady Gaga, who was in LA, said: "I'm just a girl from New York that wanted to be a star. Anything you wish to ask me is cool with me."
DJ Meshel of Nova Breakfast radio in Brisbane then asked: "Where are we at with the tiny penis issue right now, Lady Gaga?"
"My beautiful vagina is very offended," Lady said. "I'm not offended - my vagina is offended.
"I've sold four million records in six months. I'm not embarrassed about anything."
She had her own ideas on why the rumours have taken off, saying it was society's reaction to a strong woman and "the idea that we equate strength with man and a penis is a symbol of male strength".
