Laura WhiteLaura WhiteWe were all shell-shocked after last weekend's X Factor result.

And it seems the rest of the public were too, when Laura White was axed.

Her angry fans have now started an online petition in order to get the singer back into the comp.

More than 10,000 people have joined the crusade, demanding that Laura get a second chance.

But wasn't it the public that didn't see her through in the first place, landing her in the bottom two?

As usual, there are those who claim that they could not get through when trying to phone in their vote for Laura, but ITV have stated that there was no problem with the lines on Saturday evening.

The scandal has even reached parliament, with cultural secretary Andy Burnham now wading in on the debate.Louis WalshLouis Walsh

Aren't there more pressing issues to discuss?

Regardless of the huge support for Loz, judge Louis Walsh still stands by his decision saying that the singer would never have won the show anyway.

"Laura was in the bottom two - her performance was bad and her styling was even worse," Louis told The Sun.

"She didn't even get the public support and got three votes from the judges. No one in the bottom two ever wins the X Factor, Laura was never going to win."

Ouch.
