So it's little surprise Lindsay Lohan is really hurting at the moment.

The star is reeling with grief and confusion after Samantha Ronson dumped her last Friday.

In a tearful interview with Us magazine, Li-Lo described the moment her girlfriend of nearly a year ended things as "the worst night of my life".

"It's absolute hell," the 22-year-old sobbed. "I'm just really hurt. The whole situation is sick."

She went on to claim that Nicole Richie snubbed her on the night of the break-up at Los Angeles' Chateau Marmont, walking past her and saying "Uck".

"I'm a f***ing girl who's in love," Linds said of the incident. "I felt like I was in Mean Girls, but worse; Mean Girls was a movie."

This is the first time Li-Lo has confirmed that Sam broke up with her; the star earlier claimed the two had taken time apart to allow her to "focus on myself".

Meanwhile, Sam has had to deny reports that she sought a restraining order against her former lover, saying she doesn't consider her "dangerous".
