However, Lils has thrown the unwritten rule of not feasting on celeb sloppy seconds to the wind, by seemingly making a bid for the rocker musician.
Writing on the new star confessional outlet that is Twitter, the 23-year-old admitted - or rather tweeted:
"I think I'm in love with John Mayer. I watched a DVD of one of his concerts last night, on the bus.
"His guitar playing is mesmerizing. Sexy."
Oh-er. Well you know what they say... one woman's trash is another woman's treasure.
Let's just hope Jen doesn't cross paths with the irrepressible Lils anytime soon.
