But she certainly had to put in the hours to achieve her new 'do.

Li-Lo reportedly spent more than 11 hours at a hair salon yesterday.

With her barnet a natural red shade, it must have taken a fair amount of dye to transform her into a super-blonde goddess.

Li-Lo hinted on Twitter that the reason behind her new 'do is for a film role. She Tweeted: "I don't think the director wants it short... I look ugly with short hair. Eeeeks."

And she's not the only actress to go blonde for her craft.

Jaime Winstone was spotted out and about yesterday with an interesting peroxide blonde short bob.

Her new hair is apparently for her movie Dagenham Girls set in 1960s Essex.

From LA to Dagenham, it seems the stars all have a blonde ambition..
