26 of 26Coldplay's new single, Viva La Vida, has hit the top spot on the British charts - giving the band their first ever UK number one single.
At the same time, they continue to hold the number one spot in the UK album chart with their fourth release, Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends, which sold over 300,000 copies in the first three days of its release.
Another track from the same album, Violet Hill, is also at number 11 in the singles chart. Not bad for a day's work...
