Swimmer Mark and his partner Hayley Holt were voted out of the show after appearing in a dance-off against TV presenter Andrew Castle and his mentor Ola Jordan.

The authorities that be slammed Mark's dancing effort, with judge Len Goodman remarking:

"The trouble is, you're not a natural dancer so everything you do, everything you move, is taught and because it's all taught, it sometimes looks a bit awkward.Mark Foster Mark after elimination

"You're no good at dancing. I'm no good at swimming. It can't be helped, can it?"

Bruno Tonioli added: "You look like a God but you dance like a geek."

Manbags at dawn, you may think, but Mark took the criticism on the chin, delighting the audience by whipping off his sequined shirt for a final parade of his very nice bod.

"Hayley's the best and I've had the best time - I'm sorry I let you down," he said after his elimination.
