Camila Alves and Matthew McConaugheyMost people find giving birth a difficult process.

But Matthew McConaughey has a different outlook on the experience.

Of course, he wasn't the one who actually gave birth.

But by all accounts, Matt reckons the arrival of his first child, Levi, with girlfriend Camila Alves at the beginning of this month was a bit of a party.

"Contractions started kicking in, and we found a great rhythm," Matt told OK! magazine of the labour process.

Expanding on the frank if slightly lurid detail, Matt said:

"I sat there with her (Camila), right between her legs. We got tribal on it. We danced to it. I was DJ-ing this Brazilian music. We were jamming."

Sounds like a right ball.

But while Matt might have lifted the lid on his inner party animal for the birth, he was also realistic about what actually went on.

"Having a baby is a bloody, pukey, sweaty, primeval thing," he proclaimed, wisely.

Quite, Matt. We're sure Camila is thrilled you're shooting your mouth off on all the happy particulars.

Whether you'll be able to listen to Brazilian music again without the same image popping into your head is a different matter, however.
